AI Can’t Originate Art

I’ve been making art since I was a little girl. I was my way of processing life. I honestly started making art for profit about 8 years ago.

Even though creating art is how I reconnect with myself, I still get discouraged. What people are willing to pay feels worlds apart from the message within each art I create even if it’s small.

Also, with the rise of AI-generated art and image copying makes things even harder. It feels like the value of human-made work is shrinking, and I don’t know how to keep going in a world that doesn’t seem to see the worth in what we do as artists.

I guess I’m struggling with what I was told success looks like growing up compared to right now.

I keep searching for that sweet spot where everything clicks, but the art world seem distant and a bit broken.

I want to feel like my work matters, even if no one buys it.

When I have the opportunity to do so, I do small art shows especially in Los Angeles. One in particular is the Chocolate & Art Show this Friday (and Saturday) beginning at 7pm.

By the way, you can still get you tickets HERE
