IGN Live 2025: My Love Letter to Gaming Magic

IGN life.

IGN Live kicked off today in Downtown Los Angeles at the Magic Box. This event was full of epic reveals, celebrity panels, chill lounges and giveaways too.

The whole event started at 9am but I arrived at 11am where the live stage was already in full gear.

Don’t worry, I always have my Loop Earplug, which you can get in my amazon storefront. These help with my social anxiety when recording content and being around people. It also helps with the loud and rough noises in the background. I’m still able to hear everything and stay aware.

I was able to catch the Rick and Morty voice actors Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden for an exclusive live interview about season 8. I’ve been a fan since day 1!

Exclusives

I was able to see all the exclusive Pip Boy collectables from Fall Out and a hands on experience preview of the real life Pip-Boy!

McFarlane Toys Batman figures from Batman Forever: First look at this iconic reimagining—for real, my nostalgia heart exploded.

I was able to see the official first clip to IronHeart Season 1.

The new Marvel streaming series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young, genius inventor whose iron suits rival the best in the MCU. The character made her debut in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler.

Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri—determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).

Borderlands movie clip reveal — Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina), Florian Munteanu (Krieg), and director Eli Roth was on the main stage with an exclusive never-before-seen clip from the upcoming Borderlands film. They even shared some hilarious behind-the-scenes moments and teased how the movie will blend both fan service and fresh storytelling.

What I Got To Play:

Don’t sleep on the classic drop of the Street Fighter 6 DLC including the fan favorite of Akuma!

Mario kart world for the Nintendo switch 2

I got the chance to play the Mario Kart World on the new Nintendo Switch! I would love to purchase one but at the moment, I can’t.

I also took it back to classic arcade gaming: Centipede, Ms. PAC-Man, Street Fighter and the Simpson’s. I was still able to beat all 8 rounds + 2 bonus rounds of the Simpsons and the last time I played was back when I was 13 or 14 years old.

Games I’m looking forward to:

Resident Evil Requiem – it is confirmed that the new resident evil game is coming to PS5, PC, Xbox Series X & S scheduled for February 27th, 2026 (the day before my birthday).

Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver is finally being released soon. The developers from Brass Lion Entertainment came to talk about how it’s celebrating hip-hop, the legacy of the Wu-Tang Clan, and bringing gameplay and sound design together alongside the legendary producer Just Blaze. You get to fight your way to save the Method Man, RZA, O.D.B. and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan in shaolin style.

007: First Light is coming in 2026—and it’s giving Bond origin story realness from IO Interactive. PS5, Xbox Series, and even the rumored Switch 2 are all on deck.

Mindseye coming June 10th, 2026 — This cinematic, story-driven action game from Build a Rocket Boy is making waves. It’s part movie, part interactive gameplay, and ALL immersive. With hyper-realistic visuals and plot twists that had fans gasping, it’s already being called a spiritual sibling to Cyberpunk 2077.

Food and Snacks:

Obviously I don’t eat like a gamer or eat a lot of unhealthy snacks or fried foods. There were a few food trucks out that was serving whatever you was craving from tacos to burgers and friends to even waffles. However, Shout out to Cielo Azul Cafe for having something cool and healthy for me to have at the event.

Final Thoughts:

Being at IGN live gave an experience whether you were there for the next indie darling, the AAA thrillers, or just hoping to spot one of your favorites. Fandom is powerful. It builds connection, community, and sometimes lifelong friendships. Today reminded us that being a fan is not something to hide—it’s something to celebrate.
