We’ll get straight to it. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in December of 2017. I don’t get sharp pains but I get intense tension throughout my whole body that never and haven’t gone way. Obviously, I am on one medication. However, this is how I manage it throughout my day.
Get your blood work done yearly because there will be tons of inconsistencies. Such as a negative ANA (DS) and Titer + normal blood work. Advocate for additional blood work that you believe you need.
If you are able to move, do so. Even if you have to walk from one room to another. For me, I workout. With that, HIIT (high intensity interval training) is best for me. I make sure I strength train 3-4 days out the week + one day to focus on core and legs. If you can’t use weights, use workout bands. On my flare up, I focus on mobility and light work if my chronic fatigue doesn’t kick in.
Here’s some of my go to’s:
Bicep curls
Laying glute bridges
Standing crunches
Walking
Banded pull apart and banded pull downs
Any stretch or move that will help your joints and mobility
This one is weird but go gluten free even if you aren’t allergic to gluten. I found out that fibromyalgia causes digestive issues and avoid bread a d gluten helps the stomach.
