Black graphic designers are hardly, if ever, talked about. Diversity in the field was far from visible. I remember sitting through many art history classes and wondered where are all the black people? We learn about famous designers like Saul Bass, Paul Rand, and more. Although these designers paved the way graphic design is seen, we do not see black graphic designers proudly presented and applauded.
