When Today Feels Heavy

You know…
Depression doesn’t always look like crying in the shower or falling apart in public.
Sometimes it’s just… silence.
It’s the numb scroll through your phone.
It’s brushing your teeth feeling like a full-on mission.
It’s seeing messages pop up and not having the energy to respond,
even though you love the people sending them.

It’s laughing when you’re supposed to,
but deep down feeling like you’re not even in the room.
It’s waking up and everything just feels… too heavy.
Too much and not enough all at once.
Like you’re carrying a body that don’t even feel like yours.

And you start to wonder —
would anyone notice if I stopped trying so hard?
Would they see past the “I’m fine”?
Would they care if they knew I’m barely holding it together?

But here’s what I need you to hear —
You’re still here.
You made it to today.
And that alone? That is everything.

Even if all you did was breathe today — that counts.
That’s enough.
You are enough.

This ain’t the end of your story.
You’re not broken —
you’re becoming.
Becoming someone softer, stronger,
wiser in ways pain never wanted you to be.

Healing isn’t some straight line.
And the light?
It doesn’t always come crashing in.
Sometimes it’s a flicker.
A quiet breath.
A small “maybe” in the dark.

But it does come.

So stay.
Even if just for tonight.
Even if all you can do is breathe.

Because there’s a version of you you haven’t met yet —
and she is peaceful.
She is loved.
She is free.

Don’t give up before you meet her.
