I get so irritated when people do not believe that having fibromyalgia isn’t a real pain condition.
For me, it’s like a mix of anxiety, depression, trauma, fatigue and all the little things and it sends my system into overdrive
What hurts more is that when I go through a flare up, I have to act like it doesn’t affect me at all because I get comments like “I’m too young” or “but you still workout” “you don’t look like your in pain” or “wait until you’re in your 50’s”
People need to be more compassionate. Chronic pain is no joke and it’s everyday waking up not knowing how you’ll feel.
Has anyone else feel like they have to constantly explain things about their diagnosis and why you do certain things that would ultimately make you feel better at the end of the day?
