Los Angeles Comic Con, Here’s What You Missed

Treat Yo Self neon, Los Angeles Comic Con

Last weekend, I was able to attend Los Angeles Comic Con was from Friday, October 4 to Sunday, October 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

This year, Star Wars pulled the most focus with high-profile panels featuring Rosario Dawson, the supporting cast of The Mandalorian, and Ewan McGregor. McGregor made a splash by confirming that ideas for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi are being kicked around at Disney, though there’s not full confirmation.

Also, the best part of the three-day event was the nostalgic reunions. They celebrated two major reunions this year: Back to the Future and The Addams Family.

Almost 40 years ago, we were introduced to Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) and Christopher Lloyd (Dr. Emmett Brown) as the zany time-traveling duo in a DeLorean. This year, Michael, Christopher, Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines McFly), and Thomas Wilson (Biff Tannen) reunited at LA Comic Con.

The highlight of my time at Comic Con was The Addams Family reunion. The entire family including Anjelica Huston (Morticia), Christopher Lloyd (Uncle Fester), Christina Ricci (Wednesday), Jimmy Workman (Pugsley), and Carel Struycken (Lurch) was back together again after their two films premiered over 30 years ago. Raul Julia (who played Gomez Addams) was not there because he died from stomach cancer and a stroke on Oct. 24, 1994.

Also, the Main Stage also featured live music and a cosplay contest on Saturday. Speaking of cosplay, there were so many characters and feel-good nostalgia.

Los Angeles Comic Con returns to downtown L.A. at the end of September 2025, and I hope to be there. I’d love to see more Marvel and DC stars making their way to LACC.
