Should you be on Threads?

Should you join Meta’s new Twitter clone called “Threads”?

A lot of people are wondering whether or not it’s worth trying.

All you need to do is download the app and sign up using your Instagram login. You are able to keep you username and follow those who are already follow me.

3 reasons why I am:

New platforms often juice up their algorithm early on. This attracts content creators to the platform. It tends to last at least a few months – sometimes years. This happened with TikTok. It happened with Instagram launched Reels, and it looks like it’s happening again. Hopping on trends early can be very profitable.

I’ve been on Twitter since 2006. Yes, that long! Writing content has been my strong suit rather than taking videos and pictures. However, Twitter has been inconsistent for me since roughly the start of the year. 90% of the creators I know have seen their engagement drop significantly. LinkedIn has kept my business growing, but Twitter has majorly fallen off.

It’s easy to repurpose content because Twitter and Threads are basically the same platform. You can just copy your tweets and paste them.
I’ve already been getting solid results from Threads, and I definitely recommend exploring it.

Worst case, you spend 15 minutes a day repurposing content and engaging a bit, and it ends up being a fad. You’ll waste some time. Whatever.

Best case, you end up catching a trend early and riding a wave into getting a large audience.
