Being someone who wears makeup for my cosplay, an eye primer wasn’t something on my mind because I was able to apply makeup with a full face primer. The Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Primer happened to be a random Amazon find for me. I figured it was worth giving a shot and I was impressed.
This primer works well at preventing my eye makeup from creasing or smudging/fading. I wish the shade was a bit more opaque so it would help color correct the darker parts of my eyelids but that’s something small. It’s creamy and easy to spread and dries down fairly quickly. It’s waterproof, crease-proof, and has a transparent base, which means all my people with melanin and darker skin tones can get this without looking ashy or washed out!
The best part though?! It’s cruelty and paraben-free, and since it’s so sensitive on your skin. I have very sensitive skin and this works very well without my face breaking out afterwards.
I have been using e.l.f. stick primer with my NYX eyeshadow palettes and the BH Cosmetics Pro Ultimate Artistry Eye Shadow palette. With this primer, it makes my eyeshadow and cosplay makeup much more vibrate with out the creasing and smudging of the eye after being at a convention all day.
I don’t use eye primers a lot but when I do, a little goes a long way. Pea-sized amount is all you need. Don’t take my word for it, this one has more than 20,000 five-star ratings from reviewers on Amazon and I’m huge on reviews and ratings so trust me on this one.
