The official release date of Avengers: Infinity War debut on Friday, April 27. This move is highly anticipated and a recommendation to watch.
If you have seen the movie, you know that the main objective of Thanos is to obtain the Infinity Stones that will eliminate half the world population to create a better world. However, if you read the comics he mentions he is doing it for a woman that frankly doesn’t like him. In the movie he states it’s because there is too many people in the universe and getting rid of half the population would make the world better. Thanos in general was a true beast. He intercepts the ship carrying the survivors of Asgard’s destruction. Thor is defeated and subdued. Them Hulk came in with all fist, it was about to go down. However, Thanos literally man-handled the Hulk! After putting the Hulk down Loki tried his best to win Thanos over and it did not work. Not only did he take his Infinity Stone, he gripped him up, chocked him out, and snapped his neck with one hand! Now, Thanos has 2 infinity Stones. There was a last ditch effort by Heimdall on the Asgardian ship to send Hulk to Earth to warn everyone.
This is where we meet Dr. Strange, Benedict Wong, and Iron Man. The interaction between Strange, Banner, and Wong are funny. Banner warns Strange and Wong about Thanos. Maw and Obsidian come to Earth searching for the Time stone from Strange. This bring attention to Peter Parker who ironically is on a field trip with his school. Maw captures Strange but cannot get the Time stone from Strange due to its enchantment. This was probably a no brainer. Parker and Stark explores the ship. By the way, Parker get a new suit and is recruited as an Avenger! He is told that “he is not on a school bus trip, you won’t be coming back”. This sticks to me because of what happens at then. Meanwhile, Banner contacts Steve Rogers.
There is a lot of switching scenes in the movie. The Guardians of the Galaxy receives a distress signal from Asgardian and revues Thor. Thanos acquires the Reality stone from The Collector on Knowhere. Rocket and Groot goes with Thor to Nidavellir to create and enchanted battle axe to defeat Thanos.
If you haven’t already known, Gamora is the adoptive daughter of Thanos and this scene is very heartfelt because she is forced to tell him where the Soul stone is located to save her captive adoptive daughter, Nebula. The Soul stone is located on Vormir where Red Skull is captive of the stone. The only way to acquire this stone is to sacrifice the one you love. Thanos reluctantly sacrifice Gamora to retrieve the Soul stone. This is one of the saddest death in the movie honestly because it’s a father sacrificing his daughter for a personal gain.
Stark and Parker kill Maw and rescue Strange. They head to Titan and meet Quill, Drax, and Mantis. Their plan is now to remove the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos. Strange uses the Time stone to look forward in time, checking alternate futures, and came up with only one way Thanos is defeated. Thanos arrives. The group actually ends up subduing him so they can remove the gauntlet. Mantis tries to put Thanos to sleep but his power was too strong. He states that he killed Gamora. Quill is enraged and hits him breaking the hold. Thanos overpowers and Strange surrenders the Time stone.
Now we are in Wakanda! Wakanda forever! The Avengers alongside T’Challa and Wakanda forces create a defense while Shuri works to remove the Mind stone from Vision. Banner still can not transform into the Hulk. Yes, I’m disappointed in that. However, Banner fights is Starks Hulkbuster armor and he does pretty well on his own. The best part is when Thor arrives with that hammer! Midnight, Obsidian, and Glaive are killed along with most of the army monsters. Thanos finally arrives at the time where Maximoff destroys the Mind stone. However, Thanos uses the Time stone to bring back Vision and extracts the Mind stone from him destroying Vision (again).
Thor arrives severely injuring Thanos but with the snap of his fingers, Thanos succeeds anyway by wiping half of all life across the universe. This includes, Barnes, T’Challa, Groot, Maximoff, Wilson, Mantis, Drax, Quill, Strange, and Parker. The saddest scene is with Parker begging Stark that he does not want to die. I guess he really should have remained on the bus. Thanos disappears and rests on another planet.
In the post-credit scene, Nick Fury transmit a distress signal right after Maria Hill disintegrates and Fury right after. If you look closely, it’s a star insignia on a red and blue background. This is in reference to CAPTAIN MARVEL!
Overall, the moves brings a lot of things together. The graphics are amazing as always especially the CGI with Thanos. It was beyond realistic. There is a lot of jumping round and this is one of those movies that you could not miss a thing. It was action from the beginning keeping me on the edge of my seat. The ending, definitely leave with a whole lot of questions but a lot of speculations in the next year or so.
