Supporting Black Artist

Art is a form of expression from music, designing, visual arts, writing, crafting, photography, baking, etc. Art is everything and can be viewed from everywhere in any format. The problem is Blacks are overlooked as artists. Some would say we do not compare to other artists in other nationalities. We have something different, something empowering, and something that is unlike the rest.

It is important to support all artists. However, it is more important to educate yourself on black artists of the past and in our community. Being a black artist myself, it is important to be open about the work you create and inspires. It can make a difference between selling a piece and being overlooked.

Art is not only a form of expression, but it promotes true prosperity. The arts are fundamental to our humanity. We help to enable and inspire us—fostering creativity, goodness, and beauty. Being artists, it helps us express our values, build bridges between cultures, and bring us together regardless of ethnicity, religion, or age. When times are tough, art is a slave for the ache. As black artists, it is even more important.
